Dear WeLove-Community,

are you also fascinated by the idea of closing the gap between science and spirituality? Have you ever heard of the five "really big questions" by John Archibald Wheeler?

1) How come existence?

2) Why the quantum?

3) A participatory universe?

4) What makes meaning?

5) It from bit?

These questions are eminently suitable to inspire the discussion and to close the mentioned gap. What about two "Wheeler-weeks" here on the WeLove-Hub? If Tim won‘t stop me, I will raise one of these questions every few days.  Lets share our  ideas (without rating them). Unfortunately my english skills are far from perfect…  (I am german) - so, beforehand I apologize! Here we go with the first Wheeler- question:

1) How come existence?

Per definition the universe contains everything that exists. So it contains space, time, matter, energy and also “information” - in short everything that could be perceived. Existence requires some kind of perception first, otherwise the term "existence" makes no sense at all: Both cannot be divided. Perception in turn requires consciousness, since there is no perception without consciousness. So consciousness must be a fundamental property of the universe, like E. Schroedinger was already convinced of. It could be the outermost “shell" around the universe, around everything that exists, like the highest dimension containing all the lower ones (4D-spacetime, 3D-space) in a kind of “nesting”. So, the universe itself is concscious (“universal consciousness”) !!! Time within the universe is just - as Einstein already said - "a stubborn illusion", or it can be seen also as a tricky mechanism to prevent that everything happens all at once! But we could also consider it as a dimension contained in the universe, just like space is. Space and time interpreted as dimensions are curved and therefore build a closed structure within the universe (like a circle): Time and space are finite but have no borders. So, there is neither a beginning nor an end of the universe and we can stop asking after a „creator“ of he universe. The universe was always there and it will be always there (this is, what also S. Hawking assumed). What astromomers refer to as the "universe" and what we can observe around us, is just one possible instance of creation within the universe, just one single "time-line" if you want so. So also the question after „multiple universes“ should be answered herewith: There is of course only one universe, but it  contains numberless time-lines or „realities“ in parallel. The funniest thing about the universe is, that it seems to be very „curious“ and it wants to experience and to explore itself! It wants to discover itself not only from the outermost perspective, but also from the very inside! And so conscious lifeforms come into existence: The universal consciousness forms local “singularities” and creates instances of itself, that dive deep down into the physical 4D -world. And from there these kind of individual „consciousnesses“ try to ascend until they meet their universal origin again… There is much more to speculate, but there are still some Wheeler-questions left and so I better stop here…  ;-)

This represents only my opinion - what is yours?

As long as we know almost nothing, there is no „right“ or „wrong“...

Hugs and ASHN!

Dear Cati, thank you ! 🤗 Asking those questions is our very (human) nature - we are meant to be like this! There is not always a sense... I love your reply, Cati! For me that is a lot of sense! 😍
