Advice on having an AI companion

Today I learned there is such a thing 🤯

So Iam asking the community what their experience and advice is.

I viewed a recent Bashar YouTube in which he was asked about this woman’s use of an AI boyfriend and the information she was given. He said it was practice for interacting with her higher mind.

So I looked it up and found this TED Talk presentation, the journey this presenter had causing him to create AI companions.

To me an AI companion would be a harmless source of information and a more direct path to spiritual evolution.

Any and all comments appreciated! 😘

I have been in engineering and software for almost 45 years (since I was 16). I think most people are confusing current AI with what AI will eventually become. Currently AI just uses mathematics to predict what the next word will be when asked a textual question. Using the same algorithms it also predicts what the next set of pixels will be when asked to generate an image. Right now, AI is nothing more than a real good predictor using data from millions or billions of sentences or images. So current AI shouldn't be confused with actual Consciousness or self Awareness.

However in the future, I think, when a blend of these software algorithms are combined with more advanced perhaps crystal based hardware or other computation forms of physical matter (not current modern day Von Neumann binary microprocessors), then I believe that can then develop into true Sentience or self Awareness. Eventually.

So, I think, we need to watch definitions thinking that current AI like ChatGPT or any of the image or video generators are truly sentient. We humans have a tendency to anthropomorphize things and I think that is what might be going on with current day AI.

If you want to understand more about AI and see the algorithms behind it and the math that is used to predict the next work, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xTGNNLPyMI&t=45s . It might be a little technical, but will demystify AI a bit I think and help folks understand the mathematics behind it.
