WE <3

Public·270 friends

Peace to all <3 I hope you are having a healing holiday season, as promised per the Christmas live <3 (see comments) :)

Thank you for letting me call in and say hi! Thank you all so much for creating such a wonderful space for unique minds to connect. I think I was a little stage frightened, I had so much I wanted to say but I was so excited! Lol Thank you for letting me share a bit into my little artistic world, I had been working on a portrait of my friends cat that recently passed away and I was actually struggling really hard with the composition the whole time (so much so I switched to a different sized canvas) as I was listening to the wonderful guests on Tim's Live. (I thought it was serendipitous too that there was mention of the Feline beings!) She has three portraits from me already and I really wanted to make it special.

I typically work in oils but I didn't have much time so I decided to work in acrylic and did a black and white understudy, in case anyone in interested in processes :) I have my bachelors in fine arts where my thesis was a large printmaking project correlating research I was doing about Native American traditions connecting persons to landscapes. I was processing my dad's passing at the time by recreating hiking photographs he had taken as a young man in Colorado by traveling to those places myself (I have some great stories from that). That opened my spiritual world to many different chapters and really it seems like my artistic life has two worlds: the work I do when I go traveling to new places seeing nature in America and even going to Egypt for a while to push my limitations and then also the much quieter work I do in my paintings. I have moved almost exclusively to oil and acrylic painting, but all my art always has some element of connecting spirituality, abstraction, into figure and nature. I do a lot of animal portraits for friends which I love, studies of the horses I work with, and more privately human figures and landscape meditations. I also love music, very much so, but that's another topic lol I have this study that was above you guys I did as a high school student that is a recreation of a Berthe Morisot self portrait with her daughter I like to keep where I work, I feel she keeps an eye on my enterprises lol.

I loved seeing all the other wonderful artists, musicians, inventors, healers, mediators, orators, shamans, thinkers and so much more here. Again, thank you for letting me share <3

Where ever you find yourself in these changing times I hope you and loved ones enjoy peace and healing this holiday season, and Happy New Year! <3 <3 <3

These are PAWS-itively Lovely Paintings... 💛 Also, it sounds like a wonderful adventure/tribute you did for your dad. I look forward to hearing more of your stories. By the way, I still get nervous speaking on the calls, but it's so worth pushing thru the nerves and participating with the group. Happy New Year to You too! 🎉
